Opened in 2009, The Bell at Hampton Poyle is a delightful 9 bedroomed, independent, privately-owned boutique hotel, pub and restaurant. The charm of this century’s old historic pub has been complemented by the contemporary design of the restaurant. Flagstone floors, oak beams and large leather armchairs set the tone in this classic English Inn.
The Bell aims to provide exciting good value food. The open kitchen, with its huge wood-burning oven, allows guests to watch a vibrant modern kitchen in action. A viewing window into the Wood Oven even allows customers to see their food cooking. The pizza is one of the best you can eat anywhere. And the fish and shellfish are simply grilled where appropriate and served with delicious butter sauces. All the meat comes from local producers.
The Bell has 9 individual bedrooms. From Executive double bedrooms situated in the main building to the Cottage rooms in an ancient cottage with sloping ceilings and low character beams. All the bedrooms have double beds with Egyptian cotton sheets and either sensational walk-in monsoon showers or baths, soft fluffy towels and The Rerum Natura bathroom products. There is a TV and free Wifi throughout the hotel, and a full English breakfast is included in the rates.
