Come Saturday, 03 May this year, Oxford will host REVOLT 2025, a major night of professional wrestling as Drago, alongside other international stars, arrive for an event presented by British Kingdom Pro Wrestling at Beecroft Hall, Oxford Academy.
The Mexican superstar Drago, renowned for his appearances in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (recently acquired by WWE), Lucha Underground (as seen on Netflix), and TNA Wrestling in the United States. With a striking dragon-like appearance, Drago is set to bring unmatched aerial agility to the ring.
He will compete in a triple-threat match against Iran’s Tiger Ali and Wales’s Nico Angelo. “Oxford likes to talk about its famous son, J R R Tolkien, so here is something the people of the city will understand. What happens in his stories? Smaug the dragon gets taken out of the sky by an arrow. This Saturday, I’m going to be the bowman that puts an end to all this hype,” said Tiger Ali.
The evening will also see a major championship bout as ‘The English Lion’ Eddie Ryan, newly crowned British Kingdom Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, will defend his title against Italian challenger Antonio De Luca. Ryan, widely recognised for his time in NXT UK and WOS Wrestling, will be tested in what promises to be a hard-hitting contest.
In tag team action, reigning NWA JCP Tag Team Champions The Blockbusters (Jordan Sparks and Toby St John) will bring Tennessee gold to Oxford as they face off against The Steel Serpents (JD Knight and Josh Knott). With deep roots in wrestling history, the National Wrestling Alliance titles carry a legacy that both teams are determined to be a part of.
Adding to the star-studded line-up, Danny Jones, fresh off a WWE try-out, will face rising talent Alexios in what could be the standout bout of the evening.
