On Saturday, Hampton Court Palace Festival closed its gates for 2025, ending a stunning run of summer shows with two sold-out performances from one of Britain’s most cherished bands – Elbow.
The multi-award-winning group brought the festival to a euphoric close, filling the historic courtyard with their soaring anthems, including One Day Like This, Grounds for Divorce and Lippy Kids.
The festival’s 2025 edition saw nine nights of incredible live music and one special edition of a hit podcast against the majestic backdrop of Henry VIII’s Tudor palace.
It opened with an atmospheric set from indie favourites James, followed by powerhouse performances from Rag’n’Bone Man and the legendary Tom Jones.
The weekend continued in high spirits with a hit-filled evening from Bananarama and a special appearance from The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast.

The second week featured a crowd-pleasing set from 10cc and a dazzling appearance by global icon Chaka Khan. Gary Barlow returned to Base Court with a night of sing-along favourites before Elbow’s two-night finale brought the curtain down on another memorable year.
Each evening, audiences arrived early to enjoy the sunshine in the East Front Gardens, indulging in street food and British Fine Foods’ luxury picnics before heading into the intimate 3,000-seat auditorium.
While the 2025 festival has now drawn to a close, preparation for 2026 is underway with next year’s line-up set to be announced in the coming months.
Hampton Court Palace Festival offers one of the most unique live music experiences in the UK – blending world-class performances with the historic grandeur of a royal setting.
