Independent Oxford and social enterprise Tap Social Movement are teaming up for the third year for the unique and quirky Indie Oxford Christmas Market, celebrating Oxfordshire businesses.
Head to the Tap Social Taproom in Botley on Saturday, 23 November, from 11.00am to 5.00pm, for a Christmas market like no other. Visitors will enjoy a host of local independent market stalls, street food, festive drinks and children’s activities.
Independent Oxford is a community for Oxfordshire businesses, on a mission to help more people see the value and positive impact of local businesses.

Rosie Jacobs, founder of Independent Oxford said: “For the last two years, the Christmas market has attracted hundreds of shoppers keen to shop local, support amazing independent businesses and have a great time. It’s a Christmas market with a difference, full of festive cheer, a wonderful community atmosphere and as much a celebration of local businesses as a chance to shop.”
Traders at the market this year include LORDS Fragrance House, Leafology, Rainbow and Spoon, Sitaarah, Jampuppy Design, Custom Made, Jessie’s Art Shed, Etta Rain Ceramics, Caper, Crafty Maze, The Oxford Soap Company, Annabel’s Patisserie, Miller & Jeeves, Sally-Anne Stewart Linocut Prints, Amy Surman Jewellery and The Oxford Weaving Studio.
Amy Surman, founder of Amy Surman Jewellery said: “I’m really looking forward to taking part in the Indie Oxford Christmas Market again this year. It’s wonderful being surrounded by fellow indie businesses selling high quality beautiful products. The venue is perfect with a gorgeous festive feel, a fully stocked bar and amazing pizza on sale. I can’t wait to start shopping myself.”

Tap Social Movement is a craft brewery and social enterprise that provides support, training, and employment for people in prison. It regularly hosts local artists, food vendors, social enterprises, and other organisations at The Market Tap in the Covered Market and the taproom on Botley Road.
Tess Taylor, co-founder and director at Tap Social Movement said: “The Indie Oxford Christmas Market is one of my favourite events. The Tap Room is transformed into a winter wonderland and it’s the perfect opportunity to get some Christmas shopping sorted with gifts from independent makers and local suppliers.”
A kid’s craft corner will be hosted by a local children’s activity and holiday camp provider ‘House of Fun’ and a social impact gym ‘The Project PT’ will run family-friendly activities during the market.
