The Game Fair is set to return to Blenheim Palace in 2027, bringing one of Britain’s biggest countryside celebrations back to Oxfordshire for a landmark anniversary edition.
The three-day event will take place from Friday 23 July to Sunday 25 July 2027, marking the 69th anniversary of The Game Fair and returning to one of its most popular previous locations.
Organisers say the 2027 edition will be the largest and most ambitious in recent years, building on renewed interest in countryside traditions, rural skills and outdoor pursuits while showcasing the evolving nature of modern country life.
Blenheim Palace has played a significant role in The Game Fair’s history, with the estate previously hosting some of the event’s largest gatherings. Its combination of extensive parkland, accessibility and international recognition makes it a fitting setting for the next chapter of the event.
The return is also expected to deliver a major economic boost to the region. Organisers estimate that The Game Fair generates more than £40 million for the local economy during the three-day event, supporting hotels, restaurants, visitor attractions, retailers and hospitality businesses across Oxfordshire and the surrounding area.
New experiences planned for 2027
The 2027 event will feature a redesigned layout intended to improve visitor access and movement around the showground, alongside new viewing areas, visitor routes and attractions.
A new in-show camping and glamping offering will also be introduced, with further details expected to be announced in the coming months.
Visitors can expect the return of many of the event’s traditional highlights, including world-class gundog competitions, clay shooting, fishing demonstrations, conservation activities and opportunities to discover country sports.
The Game Fair will also continue its focus on introducing new audiences to rural pursuits, with visitors able to try activities including clay shooting, fishing and falconry under expert guidance.
Supporting countryside businesses and traditions
Alongside sporting activities, the event will bring together hundreds of exhibitors showcasing country clothing, outdoor equipment, vehicles, artisan products, food and drink, heritage crafts and luxury lifestyle brands.
Demand from exhibitors has reportedly been particularly strong ahead of the 2027 event, with organisers highlighting growing interest from premium country brands and an expanded Gunmakers’ Row.
The event will once again welcome the British Association for Shooting and Conservation as a Principal Partner, continuing its focus on sustainable shooting, conservation and responsible countryside management.
