Westgate Oxford will host a free recruitment fair on 06 October, bringing local job seekers face-to-face with employers including John Lewis, TK Maxx, Superdrug, Mitie and CBRE.
The Recruitment Fair will take place from 12.00pm to 3.00pm in the Lower Ground Bar at Curzon Oxford, with opportunities across retail, hospitality, technical and operational roles.
The event is intended for people at different stages of their working lives, including young people looking for their first job, school and college leavers, people not currently in education, employment or training, and those returning to work after a period away.
It will also provide an opportunity for people considering a change of career or looking for part-time, flexible or seasonal work to meet employers directly and find out more about available roles.
Among the employers attending will be John Lewis, TK Maxx and Superdrug, alongside Westgate service partners Mitie and CBRE. Employment and charity organisations Aspire and Connect 2 Work Oxfordshire will also be present.
Westgate Oxford has worked with Aspire since the centre opened, providing employment support including mock interviews and career workshops. The centre says its 2025 social and economic impact report recorded support for 1,527 jobs and helped 110 people move closer to employment.
Clare Martin, Centre Director at Westgate Oxford, said the fair was intended to connect local people directly with employers and provide routes into work.
“Whether someone is taking their first step into the workplace, returning after time away, or looking for a new direction, this fair is about breaking down barriers and connecting local talent directly with employers,” she said.
Westgate Oxford describes the event as part of its wider work with community partners to support local employment. Its website also provides information about employment support for people who are unemployed or who would benefit from training and assistance in finding work.
The Recruitment Fair is free to attend and will take place on Tuesday 06 October from 12.00pm to 3.00pm at Curzon Oxford, Westgate Oxford, Queen Street.
