About the Blavatnik School of Government

The Blavatnik School of Government is one of the newest and most vibrant departments at the University of Oxford, with a mission to inspire and support better government and public policy around the world.

It is a school of public policy founded in 2010 following a £75 million donation from Ukraine-born businessman Leonard Blavatnik, supported by £26 million from the University of Oxford.

The “Herzog and de Meuron” designed building was inspired by “openness, communication and transparency in parliamentary spaces”

Venue hire

Although spaces within the building are available to hire when not in use by the school, it is only available for bookings in line with the mission of the school or from within the university.
