About Ladygrove Park, Didcot
Ladygrove Park is a park/open space in Didicot. The park is 11.38 hectares / 28.13 Acres.
The park has a play area with a range of well-maintained play equipment for all ages of children. It also has a large green field with football pitches, 2 hard-surfaced tennis courts, basketball and five-a-side football goals, and various multi-use areas.
The playground
The playground at Ladygrove Park is a well-equipped children’s play area in the centre of the Ladygrove housing estate and covers approximately 2.5 acres.
The play area includes an impressive four-tiered climbing frame, a smaller frame for tots with slide and interactive panels, a zip line, slide, swings, springers, a sea saw, a two-way springer, a roundabout and a witches hat.
The football pitch
The full-sized pay-to-play football pitch is owned and managed by Didcot Football Club.
Ladygrove Loop
The Ladygrove Loop, which includes the play area, is a popular 4km (2.5-mile) walking route in north Didcot. It includes:
- an integrated walking, cycling and fitness route, with two free outside exercise stations, distance interval markers and signs
- seating areas and a picnic area
- six acres of new wildflower meadows
- two natural play areas and gateways at Cow Lane and Tyne Avenue
Ladygrove Lakes
A short walk to the north east of this playground is the Ladygrove Lakes, which is popular with fishermen, ducks and Canadian geese.

There are buses to the centre of Didcot or Didcot Parkway train station operated by Thames Travel and Oxford Bus Company.
By train
Didcot Parkway train station is a 9-minute walk to Ladygrove Park and accessed on foot through the Cow Lane underpass.
On foot
Ladygrove Park is located at the centre of the Ladygrove estate in Didcot and accessed on foot through the Cow Lane underpass from the Town Centre and train station.
By car

From A34 North & Southbound:
- At Milton Interchange, take the exit onto the A4130 signposted ‘Didcot’.
- At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A4130.
- At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A4130 signposted ‘Wallingford’
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4130 signposted ‘Wallingford’.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4130 signposted ‘Wallingford’.
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Avon Way signposted ‘Oaktree Health Centre’.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Bowmont Water.
- Turn left, and you will arrive at the car park.
From Wallingford:
- Join the A4130 from Wantage Road or any other junction from the Town Centre, signposted ‘Didcot, Wantage’.
- At the roundabout with Tesco Supermarket, take the 2nd exit onto the A4130.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4130 signposted ‘Oxford, Newbury A34, All other routes’.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4130 signposted ‘Appleford, Sutton Courtenay, Drayton’.
- Turn left onto the A4130 signposted ‘Oxford, Newbury A34, Wantage A417’.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4130 signposted ‘Oxford, Newbury A34, Wantage A417’.
