About Stratfield Brake Sports Ground

Stratfield Brake Sports Ground is a sporting facility located at Frieze Way in Kidlington.

It is Kidlington’s premier sporting facility with a fine pavilion, two cricket grounds, three rugby pitches, a football pitch and the largest area of public open space in the village.

The pavilion provides an excellent modern space for conferences and parties.

Stratfield Brake is leased by the Parish Council but is now run by Cherwell District Council. The Parish Council continues to contribute a substantial operating subsidy.

Regular users of the sports ground include Kidlington Cricket Club, Gosford All Blacks Rugby Club, Kidlington Running Club, and the Kidlington Youth Football Club.

The adjoining land is owned by the Woodland Trust and includes walks through woods and lakes, which have been specially created to attract wildlife and wetland birds.

Visit the Cherwell District Council’s Stratfield Brake webpage for rates and bookings.
