About Namaste Village Oxford
Opening its doors for the first time in Oxford, Namaste Village invites diners to experience the true taste of authentic Indian cuisine. Guests can enjoy traditional favourites alongside unique, contemporary creations crafted by resident chef Urmila, who brings extensive expertise to every dish.
The restaurant strives to showcase the very best of India through its flavours, hospitality, and welcoming ambiance, offering Oxford a dining experience that blends heritage with innovation.
Eat and Drink
Oxford’s menu features signature street food and classic dishes from across India. Highlights include the crisp, flavour-packed Dahi Puri; the slow-cooked Black House Daal with lentils and kidney beans simmered for 24 hours; and South Indian dosas served with sambar and coconut chutney.
For mains, options such as Chick’n Jalfrezi, fiery Paneer Angara, and Jackfruit Biryani showcase the restaurant’s balance of spice, texture, and tradition.
To drink, diners can enjoy fresh mango lassi, warming masala chai, or inventive cocktails infused with Indian flavours – from the tamarind-spiked Holi-Tini to the kaffir lime-twisted Negroni. Indian-style Cobra beer, Oxford-brewed ales, and a concise wine list sourced from sustainable vineyards complete the offering.
