Couples planning their wedding are being invited to experience the historic charm of Stonor Park at a special Wedding Showcase taking place from 12.00pm to 4.00pm on Saturday 18 April.

Hosting only a select number of weddings each year, the centuries-old estate will open its gates for an afternoon designed to inspire couples preparing for their big day. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the grounds and see the venue styled as it might appear for a wedding celebration.

Set in the heart of the Chiltern Hills countryside near Henley-on-Thames, the estate offers a variety of scenic spaces for ceremonies and receptions.

From elegant lawns framed by the historic Stonor House to the elevated plateau of Drovers’ Hill, couples will be able to imagine how their celebration could unfold against sweeping views across the Chilterns.

Throughout the afternoon, the Stonor Park events team will be available to guide guests through the venue’s possibilities and offer advice on planning a celebration that suits different styles and visions.

The showcase has been curated by Papillon Events, specialists in bespoke event planning and styling. The centrepiece of the event will be a sailcloth Sperry Tent provided by Boutique Marquees, installed on the elegant front lawns of Stonor House.

Couples attending will also be able to meet a selection of trusted local wedding specialists offering inspiration and expert guidance for different aspects of the day.

These include florals from Stemtation Flowers, catering by Goose + Berry, stationery design from Lucca Studios and photography by Lucy Davenport Photography. Guests will also be able to sample English sparkling wine from nearby winery Hundred Hills, accompanied by live music from 8RAY.

Louisa Fifield, general manager at Stonor Park, said:

“We are thrilled to invite couples to our first showcase for some years, to share the magic, beauty and versatility that make Stonor Park such a remarkable wedding venue.

“We only host a handful of select weddings each year, with every couple given the freedom to express their creativity.

“We have broadened our offering this year with the addition of the breathtaking private event space, Drovers’ Hill, with the option for couples to add a pop-up glamping village under the stars to host wedding guests at the end of the day, transforming a wedding day into a truly memorable weekend event.

“From intimate and elegant, to big and bold, Stonor provides an unforgettable backdrop for every imagination.”

Entry to the showcase is free, but advance booking is required.
