A Wallingford-based catering company is celebrating national recognition after being shortlisted at one of the UK’s leading industry awards.

Connect Catering, headquartered in Hithercroft Court, Wallingford, was named among finalists at the Contract Catering Awards 2026. Team member Sally Allen was shortlisted in the Business and Industry Award category, highlighting her contribution within a highly competitive field.

The Contract Catering Awards recognise excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement across the UK catering sector, bringing together some of the industry’s most established organisations. This year’s ceremony took place in London in March, with businesses from across the country represented.

Founded in 1989, Connect Catering is an independent, family-run business that provides catering services to a wide range of organisations, including workplaces, independent schools and care homes.

Over the years, the company has developed a strong reputation for delivering fresh food, high-quality service and building close, collaborative relationships with its clients.

Being shortlisted at a national level places both the business and its team alongside some of the most respected names in the industry, reflecting its continued growth and commitment to high standards.

Victoria Murrell, Chief Executive Officer of Connect Catering said:

“We are delighted to have been recognised at the 2026 Contract Catering Awards. To see Sally shortlisted is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, passion and professionalism shown by our wider team every day.”

The recognition marks an important milestone for the Wallingford firm, underlining the strength of its workforce and the consistency of its service across multiple sectors.

For the local community, the achievement highlights another Oxfordshire-based business making an impact on the national stage.

As Connect Catering continues to expand its presence across the UK, the award recognition serves as both a celebration of past success and an endorsement of its future ambitions within the competitive catering industry.
