Music fans heading to Truck Festival this summer will be able to travel to and from the event by dedicated shuttle bus, with Thames Travel confirming a direct service between Didcot Parkway and the festival site at Hill Farm in Steventon.

The annual Oxfordshire festival returns from Thursday 23 July to Sunday 26 July, with this year’s line-up featuring headline performances from Kaiser Chiefs, The Libertines, The Wombats and Two Door Cinema Club.

With thousands of festivalgoers expected to attend, the shuttle bus service will provide a convenient transport option for those camping at the festival or travelling in for individual days.

The dedicated service will run between Didcot Parkway and Truck Festival throughout the weekend, with the journey taking just under 20 minutes.

Thames Travel’s £15 adult weekend ticket offers unlimited travel on the festival shuttle buses, as well as selected Thames Travel services including the ST1, X2, NX2 and X36 routes between 23 July and 27 July.

Single and return options are also available, with an adult single fare priced at £8 and an adult open return costing £12.

Luke Marion, Managing Director of Thames Travel, said: “Truck Festival is once again delivering exciting headline acts and I’m sure it’ll be another jam-packed weekend at Hill Farm.

“We’re delighted to be providing a shuttle bus service to the festival, offering a cost-effective and convenient way to travel.

“Our shuttle bus ensures festivalgoers can make the journey in comfort, with regular journeys between Didcot Parkway and the festival site.”

The first shuttle buses will depart from Didcot Parkway from 11.45am on Thursday 23 July, with regular services operating throughout the festival weekend. Final return journeys will run until midday on Monday 27 July.
