As Shoryu Ramen’s second venture outside London, this branch blends the spirit of Oxford’s historic charm with the bold tastes of Hakata tonkotsu ramen, its rich, creamy pork broth and perfectly cooked noodles bringing a slice of Japan to the City of Dreaming Spires.
Whether for grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for a comforting dinner, Shoryu Oxford caters to all. The menu goes beyond just ramen, featuring fluffy steamed buns, tasty sides, indulgent desserts, and cocktails. There’s even a thoughtfully curated set menu just for children, making it a welcoming spot for families.
Shoryu Oxford ensures convenience for both spontaneous visitors and planned gatherings. While reservations are available, plenty of tables are kept for walk-ins. Each booking is for 90 minutes; however, diners can speak to staff if they’d like to extend their stay.
The restaurant aims to accommodate all guests thoughtfully, with baby high chairs, free WiFi, and delivery available via Just Eat, Uber Eats, and Deliveroo. Due to kitchen operations, gluten-free options are not available, and guests with specific allergies are encouraged to speak to the team upon arrival.

Orders are paused from 11.00 to 11.30 while the team prepares for lunch service. Last dinner orders are taken 30 minutes before closing time.
To ensure the best dining experience, Shoryu does not seat incomplete parties, helping reduce wait times for all. While only assistance and guide dogs are permitted indoors, all dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area.
