About The King’s Head Inn, Bledington
The King’s Head Inn is an idyllic Cotswold pub in a 16th-century one-time cider house gloriously situated on the Village Green in the picturesque village of Bledington near Chipping Norton.
Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing bought The King’s Head Inn in June 2000 and worked extremely hard on developing the Inn’s reputation for delicious food, lovely bedrooms, and atmospheric pub.
The King’s Head Inn offers hearty and traditional English food cooked with the freshest of ingredients and, wherever possible, locally sourced and organic produce – served with a touch of flair and a spark of imagination. The King’s Head Inn has been awarded two AA rosettes and is featured in The Good Food Guide.
With 12 bedrooms, The King’s Head Inn is a special place to stay. Set on a beautiful village green you can choose to stay in a room above the inn (which is cosy and full of charm), or a quieter courtyard room (set back from the inn) which is more spacious and a hint more luxurious. Each bedroom comes with a private bathroom, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Since 2006 Archie and Nicola have also enjoyed running the highly successful Swan Inn in Swinbrook. The Swan Inn is renowned for its award-winning food, and it’s beautifully decorated bedrooms. Whether staying or visiting either The King’s Head Inn or The Swan Inn, you will find Archie and Nicola just as hands-on as the excellent bar team, chefs and other staff they employ.
