The Swan Inn, Islip

The Swan Inn, Islip
1 Lower St, Islip

The Swan Inn, Islip

The Swan Inn, a 17th-century Cotswold stone pub, resides in the historic village of Islip, Oxfordshire, the birthplace of Edward the Confessor. The pub, steeped in history, had a significant refurbishment in 2022 and has been lovingly restored and brought back to life.

The ‘Cygnet’ dining room is a space where you can enjoy an everchanging 2- or 3-course lunch menu or a 4-course set menu for dinner using seasonal ingredients. The food served can be categorised as Modern British with a twist… the Chef Patron, Paul Welburn, has his own style!

There is also a lounge area called the ‘Majlis’ for experiencing an array of small plates, which does not require a reservation. If dining and you arrive early, you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the lounge. The resident mixologist makes brilliant cocktails, mocktails and G&Ts.

Please don’t arrive in with muddy shoes/wellies or muddy/work-soiled clothing.
