A Bicester-based PR professional has been recognised on the national stage after winning a top honour at one of the UK media industry’s most respected awards ceremonies.

Alex Liste, Account Director and Director of Nature at Oxfordshire travel PR agency Lemongrass Marketing, has been named Senior Professional PR of the Year at the 2026 Roxhill Media Awards.

The accolade recognises outstanding leadership, strategic excellence and a strong commitment to responsible travel communications.

The Roxhill Media Awards celebrate what organisers describe as the “extraordinary” talent across the UK media and PR industry and are unique in being judged exclusively by journalists. This year’s ceremony took place at Battersea Power Station in London and was hosted by journalist and author Elizabeth Day.

Alex has played a central role in shaping both client success and sustainability strategy at Lemongrass Marketing. A key driver of measurable change within the agency, she has helped embed environmental responsibility into the business while continuing to deliver high-impact PR campaigns for clients.

In her role as Director of Nature at Lemongrass, Alex leads the agency’s sustainability agenda, ensuring environmental commitments translate into tangible outcomes.

She is responsible for leading Lemongrass’s B Corp certification, overseeing the annual Impact Report and implementing carbon budgets across the business. She also heads the internal green team, embedding sustainability considerations into everyday decision-making.

Abi Best, Managing Director at Lemongrass, said: “Alex has been with us on our journey for over eight years, and is a dedicated, creative and highly respected senior member of the team. Her kindness, passion and commitment consistently shine through in everything that she does. We are so proud of Alex achieving this well-deserved PR industry award.”

Alongside her sustainability work, Alex is a trusted adviser to clients seeking guidance on diversity, equity and inclusion policy and responsible storytelling. She regularly contributes thought leadership across the industry and supports brands to communicate with integrity and purpose.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community with more than a decade of experience in travel PR, she is particularly passionate about helping travel brands connect authentically with LGBTQ+ audiences.

The Roxhill Awards judges praised Alex’s work, highlighting her ability to blend analytical rigour with compelling storytelling and noting that her leadership “sets a benchmark for what modern, responsible PR leadership looks like.”

Reacting to the award, Alex said: “I’m absolutely delighted to receive this award and to be recognised by the journalists we work with every day. Responsible storytelling, sustainability and inclusivity aren’t add-ons to good PR, they are fundamental to it.

“I’m proud to work at an agency that puts values at the heart of decision-making, and grateful to the Lemongrass team and our clients for trusting me to help guide that journey.”
