Henley-on-Thames has been revealed as the start of the OVO Energy Women’s Cycling Tour through Oxfordshire on Wednesday 12th June. Elite cyclist Sophie Wright recently met with organisers, press and representatives from Henley Town Council and announced that the third stage of the race will start from Market Place in the centre of Henley, with about 100 professional riders cycling the 145km through towns, villages and rural areas to Blenheim Palace in Woodstock. It is hoped that this section of the race will benefit Oxfordshire economically as cycling fans visit the county to watch the race. Highlights of the race will be aired on ITV4 channel.
