Leys Pools & Leisure Centre will host its first-ever Splash and Play Weekend on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September, inviting families to enjoy two days of free activities and exclusive offers.

Visitors can dive into free swimming sessions, including family swims, taster lessons, and the chance to try the centre’s inflatable obstacle course.

The newly launched Kids Activity Zone will also be open, featuring free access to the Soft Play area with slides, tunnels, and ball pits, alongside Tag X, an energetic game where children score points by tapping their wristbands on glowing targets.

Brian Taylor, Chair of More Leisure Community Trust, which operates the centre in partnership with Serco Leisure, said:

“We’re excited to open our doors for a fun-filled weekend that showcases everything Leys Pools & Leisure Centre has to offer. Visitors will be able to try out our facilities for free and experience many of the fun and friendly sessions we offer at the centre.

“Whether you’re diving into our free swim sessions or exploring the new Kids Activity Zone, there’s something here for everyone in the family to enjoy. You don’t have to be a member to get involved.”

Councillor Chewe Munkonge, Cabinet Member for a Healthy, Fairer Oxford at Oxford City Council, added:

“The Leys Pool and Leisure Centre offers fantastic facilities and activities for the whole family to enjoy. This weekend’s taster event is the perfect opportunity to visit and discover what is available.”

Families are encouraged to plan ahead and book activities via the Leys Pools & Leisure Centre website.

Leys Pools & Leisure Centre is managed by More Leisure Community Trust, working in partnership with Serco Leisure and Oxford City Council, with the aim of promoting healthier and more active lifestyles.
