Three Oxfordshire pubs have been named among the venues shortlisted for recognition in the National Pub & Bar Awards, as more than 250 pubs and bars across the United Kingdom prepare for this year’s industry celebration.

The annual awards, which mark their 10th anniversary in 2026, will return to London on Wednesday 10 June, where county, regional and national winners will be announced live at the Grand Final.

Representing Oxfordshire on the shortlist are The Bull, Charlbury, The Mason’s Arms, Clanfield and The Prince of Burford, all recognised as Highly Commended venues and now invited to attend the national final.

Across the UK, 252 pubs and bars have been shortlisted, with 94 venues set to be named county winners during the event. The awards highlight businesses judged to have delivered strong customer experiences across a range of measures including service, atmosphere, design, digital presence and overall investment.

Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine, which organises the awards, said:

“Our bigger and better format that debuted in 2025 was such a success, we can’t wait to roll it out again this year. The fact that the celebrations last from the long Easter weekend, when we celebrate this year’s County Nominees, right up until the awards night at the beginning of summer is no less than this wonderful industry deserves.

“We just want to do what we can to spread the word about these brilliant businesses.”

In addition to county and regional honours, the evening will also reveal the overall National Pub & Bar of the Year, alongside the Industry’s Choice Award, selected by a panel of 400 hospitality judges.

Consumer-voted categories including Pub Group of the Year and Bar Group of the Year will also return, together with the Tyrrells Tyrrellbly Good Taste Award.

Headline sponsored by Tyrrells, the awards continue to spotlight venues considered to be performing strongly within an increasingly competitive hospitality sector.

For Oxfordshire’s shortlisted pubs, the recognition places them among the leading venues in the South East ahead of the final results in June.
