The Games organisers have announced that registrations for the 2025 Westfield Health British Transplant Games have officially opened.
Transplant recipients, supporters, live donors and donor families are all encouraged to register now, to be involved in the highly anticipated Games.
The British Transplant Games is an inclusive event encouraging transplant recipients of all ages and abilities to participate in 26 different varieties of sports.
The flagship event, Transplant Active will take place in venues across Oxfordshire from 31 July to 3 August 2025, including Blenheim Palace.
People in the Oxfordshire area are encouraged to apply for opportunities to volunteer at the Games and make a lasting impact in the transplant community.
Last year, over 2,500 people participated in the Nottingham Games – including over 1,000 transplanted athletes and 1,500 supporters, live donors and donor families – making it one of the biggest Games ever since its inception over 40 years ago.

The Oxford Games are anticipated to continue that trajectory and be the biggest Games yet. Thousands of athletes and their families and friends are expected to travel to Oxfordshire this summer from across the UK, ready to celebrate the gift of life with the rest of the transplant community.
The Games are being staged with the support of Westfield Health, Kidney Care UK, NHSBT, Anthony Nolan, the Donor Family Network, Icon Creative, Sanofi, Extra Motorway Services Ltd, B. Braun Medical Ltd, the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, British Liver Trust, Global Kidney Foundation, Scholars School System, and Fresenius Medical Care.
Locally, the Oxford Kidney Unit Trust and Blenheim Palace will be key contributors to the Games’ success.
