A new family-friendly attraction is set to arrive at Westgate Oxford this May, as the popular character Shaun the Sheep headlines an interactive augmented reality (AR) trail alongside a programme of half-term activities.
Running from Friday 01 May to Sunday 31 May, the Shaun the Sheep: Fun with the Flock experience invites families to explore the shopping destination through a free, immersive adventure.
Visitors will search for nine markers located across the centre, each unlocking a unique 3D augmented reality scene featuring Shaun and his farmyard companions.
Participants can take on a series of playful challenges, interact with characters including Bitzer the dog, and capture photos and videos throughout the trail. A specially designed Shaun the Sheep sculpture will also provide a dedicated photo opportunity for visitors.
Families can begin the trail by collecting a map and a complimentary Shaun the Sheep headband from Guest Services, located near JD Sports. Those who complete the experience will receive a sticker prize, while adults who sign up to PLUS+, the centre’s free rewards programme, will have the chance to win a £100 John Lewis gift card.
Alongside the AR trail, additional activities are planned for the May half-term period. Official clay-modelling workshops, delivered in partnership with Aardman Animations, will take place on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 May.
Free Shaun the Sheep colouring sheets will also be available every weekend from Guest Services, with PLUS+ members given priority access to workshop tickets.

“Together with our family-favourite brands across fashion, dining and entertainment, Westgate Oxford is the perfect destination for a fun-filled family day out this half term – and beyond.”
To take part in the trail, visitors can download the ‘Fun with the Flock’ app and enter the location code 2410, or choose to complete the experience manually while exploring the centre.
