Property consultancy Vail Williams has strengthened its Oxford office with the appointment of valuation specialist David Grove, responding to growing demand for property advice across the region.

David joins the firm as an associate at its Oxford office, which opened just under two years ago as an extension of Vail Williams’ Thames Valley region. His appointment supports the firm’s continued expansion in Oxfordshire and reflects increasing client demand for specialist valuation and advisory services.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the property sector, David brings extensive expertise across a wide range of valuation disciplines.

His work includes valuations for secured lending, as well as pension, accounting and probate purposes. He also advises on commercial, retail, residential and education sector estates, alongside providing lease advisory services.

Richard Dawtrey, who leads the Oxford office and is Vail Williams’ lead partner of investment, welcomed the appointment. He said: “David’s remit is valuation work for secured lending and other purposes, supporting clients with market-focused advice across a range of property assets.

“His strong understanding of local and regional markets makes him a trusted adviser within the Oxfordshire property landscape.”

David said he was looking forward to working with the firm’s established client base in the region. He commented: “Vail Williams has a high quality, established client base in and around Oxford and I look forward to providing well-rounded, pragmatic consultancy to lenders, investors, landlords, occupiers and professional advisers.”

The Oxford office, located at New Barclay House on Botley Road in Botley, is currently supported by a team of 13 staff. Vail Williams has ambitious plans to further expand the Oxford team this year, with additional lease advisory, agency and building consultancy capabilities planned as part of its growth strategy.

Vail Williams provides full-service property advice across a broad range of disciplines, including commercial agency, investment and development advice, building consultancy, property valuation, planning, lease advisory, property asset management, business rates and occupier consultancy.

Last year, the firm launched a new three-year business plan focused on driving innovation, service excellence and sustainable growth.

Vail Williams LLP is one of the UK’s largest independent providers of commercial and residential property advice.

The firm holds Gold accreditation from Investors in People and employs 169 people, including more than 50 partners, across 12 offices throughout the Midlands and the south of England, including Oxford, London, Reading, Birmingham and Leeds.
