Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

Are you thinking about rushing off to your local coffee shop to order a Pumpkin Spice Latte? Follow this simple recipe to create a delicious, homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte from scratch – perfect for cold autumn and winter nights.

  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin purée
  • 1 pinch of pumpkin pie spice
  • 30ml espresso or strong coffee
  • 250ml milk (any will work)
  • whipped cream (optional)


  1. Heat the milk in a saucepan over a low heat until steaming and frothy.
  2. Brew the espresso or strong coffee in an espresso machine or Moka pot.
  3. Put the pumpkin purée in a large heatproof glass or mug and stir in the pumpkin spice, followed by the hot espresso. Stir together.
  4. Pour the milk into the glass or mug until ¾ full, and spoon over any froth. Stir to combine, then dust with more pumpkin spice before serving.
  5. Top with whipped cream
  6. Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice.

You can use dairy or non-dairy milk, including oak milk. Coconut or almond milk also works well in this recipe.
