About Dean Court Community Centre
Dean Court Community Centre is located at Dean Court – a suburb to the west of Oxford, with Pinnocks Way at its centre. The centre has 4 rooms and is suitable for many needs – whether for a birthday bash, a business meeting or a rehearsal.
Geographically, Dean Court takes in part of Botley, covering the Fogwell and Orchard Road estates, Eynsham Road, extending up Cumnor Hill and has relatively recently welcomed the residents of the new Tilbury Lane development.
The Community Centre is literally at the heart of this community.
The centre is run by the Dean Court Community Association, which was founded by a group of local residents with a shared vision of establishing a community second to none.
The light and airy main hall can seat around 100 and has direct access to the kitchen. There’s plenty of space for a bouncy castle with space to run around or tables and chairs for a more formal gathering. The ceiling has been fitted with sound absorbers to reduce echo and make it easier for those hard of hearing. The floor is semi-sprung, so it is ideal for dance classes and rehearsals.
Capacity: 100 people
The Orange Room is adjacent to the main hall. Accommodating approximately 25 seated, it has a separate entrance into the Community Centre, direct kitchen access and an accessible toilet, making it ideal for a business meeting or a smaller social gathering. It also has wipe-clean vinyl floor and ceiling sound absorbers to make it work well as an additional party space in conjunction with the hall.
Capacity: 25 people
Fully carpeted and with two sofas, the Yellow Room seats approximately 12 comfortably around tables or around 20 in a more casual seating arrangement. It’s a lovely venue for music classes, craft groups or informal get-togethers. It has easy access to the main toilet area.
Capacity: 20 people
Seating approximately 10 people, the Blue Room is ideal for smaller meetings, one-to-one sessions or as a break-out space in conjunction with other rooms.
Capacity: 10 people
The well-equipped kitchen is fitted with a range oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and urn, as well as plenty of crockery and cutlery. It opens onto both the Main Hall and the Orange Room via 2 hatches. The kitchen must be booked alongside other rooms for access.
There are bicycle racks available at the centre, and people are encouraged to travel in as green a manner as possible.
