Turtle Bay, the popular Caribbean-inspired restaurant chain has launched its largest menu update in seven years. The new offering is available across all its 52 restaurant locations, including the Oxford branch.

Influenced by the culture, spirited community gatherings, and the colourful street food of the Caribbean, Turtle Bay aims to bring this vibrancy to the new menu.

The new dishes showcase a modern take on Caribbean cuisine, offering everything from shareable small plates to hearty mains and vegan-friendly options that capture the essence of the islands.

The new menu bursts with an array of small plates that bring bold flavours to the forefront. Leading the charge are the Fish Tacos, featuring crispy pieces of fried hake served on a golden roti, topped with smashed avocado, slaw, salsa, coriander, and lime – delivering a punch of Caribbean zest in every bite.

For those craving a more substantial and soulful fare, the brand new Brown Stew Chicken is a standout, featuring tender chicken slow-cooked in a brown gravy infused with Caribbean spices.

The bold and richly-flavoured Jerk Beef Rib is jerk marinated, roasted, and served with sweet potato mash. Pescatarian diners or those looking for a lighter meal can enjoy the new Trini Cod, basted with a silky, spiced butter sauce and garnished with charred tomato, coriander and lime.

Another new gem is the rich and comforting Beef Cheek Stew, which is Turtle Bay’s unique and boneless twist on a classic Caribbean dish of Oxtail Stew. Fans of bold, slow-cooked meals will appreciate the dish, which is marinated in jerk seasoning and ginger beer, then cooked to tender perfection in a blend of spices and browning gravy.

Turtle Bay continues to fly the flag for vegans, as the menu boasts a wide selection of plant-based options, including the Vegan Island Buddha Bowl, a colourful and nourishing dish filled with sweet plantain, roasted greens, and a bean salad.

Vegan diners can enjoy the same vibrant flavours Turtle Bay is known for, with options like substituting Jerk Chicken with a vegan “chicken” breast.

For those with a sweet tooth, diners can indulge in a Cheesecake paired with a refreshing mango coulis or a Caribbean classic, Ginger Pudding. This warm vegan dessert is served with a rum-flavoured pineapple compote and coconut ice cream.

Due to high demand, Turtle Bay has also brought back its popular Reggae Roasts loved for adding an island twist to the beloved British classic.

Each Sunday across selected sites, diners can indulge in new dishes such as the richly flavoured sous vide beef rib, or Pork Belly accompanied by roasted greens and drenched in a sumptuous Caribbean brown stew gravy, also available for vegans.

Guests can also take advantage of Turtle Bay’s fantastic Bay Club Loyalty App, where they can earn points on every visit and access exclusive offers and secret menus.
