Flight Club, the home of Social Darts, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a nationwide charity tour — and Oxford is on the map.

From 03 to 22 October, the Flight Club team will travel the country in a vintage fire engine, marking a decade of dartboard fun while raising funds for its charity, the Yellow Ball Foundation.

The tour will arrive in Oxford on Monday 21 October, when locals can expect giveaways and celebrations around Westgate Centre and nearby streets. Hundreds of prizes will be handed out during the day, offering plenty of reasons for passers-by to stop and join in the festivities.

The celebrations will continue that evening with a special charity tournament inside Flight Club Oxford at Westgate. Running from 6.00pm to 9.00pm, the event will raise money for 21 local and national charities, including Oxford-based Yellow Submarine, which supports young people with learning disabilities and autism.

The charity night promises three hours of competitive gaming, unlimited pizza, a welcome round of drinks, and a chance to win prizes — including a £1,000 bar tab. Tickets are priced at £250 for a team of five, with all proceeds donated directly to charity.

The fire engine tour has a poignant history. Flight Club’s founders, Steve and Paul, along with CFO Ross and a group of friends, once circumnavigated the globe in a fire engine in memory of Steve’s father, a firefighter for 33 years.

Their 2010 expedition raised £120,000 for charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, The Fire Fighters Charity, and The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, while earning a Guinness World Record. The experience inspired the team to create a business that brought people together through games and unforgettable experiences — and Flight Club was born.

Fifteen years later, “Martha,” the original fire engine, is returning from retirement to help mark the brand’s milestone birthday. With 28 venues now open around the world, Flight Club is raising a glass (and a dart) to the future — and Oxford will be right at the heart of the celebration.
