Country Creatures has announced the opening of The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village this November, expanding Sam and Georgie Pearman’s much-loved collection of hotels, restaurants, and inns.
Known for their warmth, craft, and culinary flair, the Pearmans will bring the signature spirit of their Cotswold retreat in Clanfield to one of Oxfordshire’s premier shopping destinations.

The original Double Red Duke, a 17th-century coaching inn reimagined as a boutique hotel and restaurant, has become a hallmark of modern British hospitality. Its Bicester Village counterpart will continue that legacy, offering a relaxed, stylish space where food and design meet in equal measure.
At the heart of the new venue is its open kitchen, where chefs will celebrate cooking over flame and showcase the finest seasonal British produce.

Open from breakfast through to dinner, the restaurant will provide a comfortable retreat for shoppers, serving everything from traditional English breakfasts and signature DRD muffins to a refined à la carte menu designed for both quick bites and leisurely meals.
The menu features bar snacks such as Chipolatas with mustard, Westcombe cheddar toasties with pickled walnut, and classic sausage rolls. Starters include Beef tartare with beef dripping toast and wood fire baked scallops with chervil and tarragon butter. Mains will include Fish and chips with peas and tartare sauce, and the daily pie, with mash, greens, and gravy.
From the grill, guests can expect Flat iron steak, Veal chop, and Rotisserie half chicken with burnt lemon and garlic mayonnaise. Puddings such as Apple and blackberry crumble with Neal’s Yard double cream and Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream round off the menu with indulgence.

To complement the food, the bar will offer a curated wine list from favourite vineyards, classic cocktails including the Duke Dirty Martini and Whiskey Ginger, local beers like Allsopp’s Best Bitter, and English fine cider.
In early 2026, the restaurant will introduce afternoon tea, complete with freshly baked scones, cakes, sandwiches, and teas paired with sparkling wines from Oxfordshire’s own 100 Hills.
“We’ve always believed in creating spaces that feel generous, relaxed, and beautifully made,” says Sam Pearman. “Opening The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village allows us to bring that same spirit — good food, good company, and a sense of belonging,” adds Georgie Pearman.
Desiree Bollier, Chair and Global Chief Merchant of Value Retail, added, “We are thrilled to welcome The Double Red Duke to Bicester Village. For over 30 years, we’ve built a destination that combines warm hospitality and extraordinary shopping. This new partnership marks an exciting chapter, reinforcing Bicester Village as one of Oxfordshire’s most vibrant food and hospitality destinations.”
The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village opens on 03 November 2025, offering guests an inviting new space to eat, drink, and unwind — where great food, design, and hospitality come together in true Country Creatures style.
