Independent Oxford coffee specialist Missing Bean Coffee Roasters has launched a trio of new spring releases, showcasing ethically sourced beans from Rwanda, Ethiopia and Peru.
The latest additions highlight the company’s commitment to sustainability, provenance and direct relationships with farmers, with each coffee offering a distinct flavour profile shaped by its origin and production process.
The Rwanda Ruronzi (£16.25, 250g) release comes from a relatively young farm, established just three years ago. Despite its age, the farm employs meticulous processing methods, with cherries carefully selected, sorted by flotation and fermented for between two and five days.
The beans are then sun-dried for up to 45 days on raised beds, producing a coffee with notes of orange blossom, pineapple and lime. It is best suited to brewing methods such as V60, filter or cafetière.
From Ethiopia, the Banko Gotiti (£14.90, 250g) offers a bright and aromatic profile, with tasting notes of lime, florals and apricot. Sourced from mountainous terrain, this coffee is also recommended for V60, filter or cafetière preparation.

The third release, Peru Chilchos Valley (£10.50, 250g), carries particular significance for Missing Bean, reflecting a 13-year Direct Trade relationship.
Grown in a remote cloud forest valley, accessible only via a 12-hour trek from the nearest road, the beans deliver rich flavours of blackberry, sultana and dark chocolate. This variety is well suited to espresso, stovetop or cafetière brewing.
These new coffees join the company’s established range of directly traded products, which emphasise fair payment and long-term partnerships with growers. Missing Bean has built its reputation on ethical sourcing practices, ensuring that farmers benefit directly from the sale of their produce.
Alongside its seasonal offerings, the company continues to supply its popular blends, including The Original and The Remake, available through its online shop, subscription service and physical locations.
Spanning three continents and diverse flavour profiles, the spring releases underline Missing Bean’s ongoing focus on quality and sustainability, while offering customers an opportunity to explore distinctive coffees from around the world.
