Knoops has unveiled what it is calling its most exciting seasonal launch to date: the Frozen Hot Chocolate, a chilled, blended reimagining of its signature drinking chocolate, arriving across all 27 UK stores just as the summer heatwave takes hold.

Positioned at the intersection of café culture and craft indulgence, the new serve transforms Knoops’ renowned chocolate flakes into a smooth, ice-blended drink designed for warm-weather refreshment without losing the richness associated with its hot chocolate heritage.

Founded in 2013 by Jens Knoop, the brand has built its reputation on a simple but distinctive idea: chocolate is made for drinking. That philosophy continues with the Frozen Hot Chocolate, which uses carefully selected chocolate flakes rather than powder to create a naturally smooth texture when blended with milk and ice.

The new range launches in two core chocolate profiles: a 54% Dark Frozen Hot Chocolate and a 28% White Frozen Hot Chocolate.

Each can be further customised, extending Knoops’ signature personalisation approach into iced territory. Variations include a Dark Frozen Chocolate Mocha, alongside flavour twists such as orange zest, lemon zest and matcha, offering customers multiple ways to tailor their drink.

As with its wider menu, guests can choose dairy or plant-based milk, with additional mix-ins available to further personalise the experience. Prices start from £5.60 for small servings, with the range topping out at £7.70 for larger, flavoured options.

The launch is also set to be particularly popular in Oxford, where Knoops has become a familiar stop for students and visitors alike on Turl Street in the city centre. The Oxford store sits alongside the city’s historic streets and independent cafés, making it a natural fit for a summer drink designed for both indulgence and refreshment.

Knoops describes the Frozen Hot Chocolate as a natural evolution of its growing café offering, combining craftsmanship with refreshment at a time when demand for elevated iced drinks continues to rise across the UK. The result is a product designed to sit comfortably between dessert and beverage, offering a cooling alternative to its best-known hot chocolate range.

With its emphasis on texture, quality chocolate sourcing and customisation, the Frozen Hot Chocolate is being positioned as a potential seasonal staple, particularly as British consumers continue to embrace premium café experiences.

Now with 27 locations across the UK and expansion plans underway, Knoops continues to strengthen its position within the premium drinks market—this time by taking its signature indulgence firmly into frozen territory, from Oxford’s Turl Street to destinations nationwide.
