The Oxford office of Beard Construction has reported a strong year of growth, alongside the appointment of a new office lead.
The team recorded sales of £57.3 million for the year ending 31 December 2025, marking an 11.7 per cent increase on the previous year. The performance reflects a busy period of project delivery across the region.
As part of the update, the company confirmed the promotion of Dave Fisher to lead its Oxford office. Having joined the firm in 2012, he now oversees a team of 93 staff.
During 2025, the Oxford team completed a range of major projects, including a £20 million phased programme addressing reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) at an Oxford college, a £12 million central storage facility for the UK Atomic Energy Authority, and a £3 million upgrade to training accommodation for Thames Valley Police.
The team also delivered four new children’s homes for Oxfordshire County Council.

Mike Hedges said: “Oxford saw steady growth in 2025, driven by several major projects in the region and in close collaboration with customers, partners, and our supply chain.
“Throughout this period, Dave has consistently demonstrated strong leadership that reflects our values, helping us deliver for our customers and strengthen key relationships.”
The office also invested in future talent, supporting apprentices, trainees and students through a partnership with Abingdon & Witney College.
Fundraising efforts saw staff raise £23,400 for Oxford University Sport and Community Partnership, including through the firm’s annual cyclathon event.
The Oxford results contribute to a record year for Beard Construction, with overall turnover rising by 16 per cent to £230 million and profits reaching £9 million. In a notable move, shareholders chose to donate half of the year’s profit to Oxfordshire Community Foundation and Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation.
Across the business, 62 projects were completed from offices in Bristol, Guildford, Oxford, Southampton and Swindon. Highlights included developments for Porsche in Bristol, Bristol Zoo and Farnborough Airport.
Fraser Johns said: “Our ethos of prompt and faultless delivery, alongside a continued focus on getting the basics right have laid the foundations for the strongest three-year period in the company’s history.”
The company also maintained strong social value delivery and industry recognition, including its twelfth consecutive Gold Award from RoSPA.
