The White Hart is an award-winning restaurant, near Abingdon, Fyfield, in Oxfordshire, offering the very best of seasonal Modern British dining with charming service. Since arriving at the White Hart in 2005, Mark and Kay Chandler have brought about dramatic changes to restore this beautiful hostelry to its 15th-century former glory. They love what they do. This is evident in every aspect of a visit to the White Hart, from the delicious food to the welcoming service. Everything is done with care, thought and passion.
Food
Everything is freshly prepared at the White Hart, by Mark and his team of chefs. They have a large kitchen garden which supplies the restaurant with wonderful produce picked just hours before arriving on your plate. And they also source from local farms and suppliers – to ensure food is fresh and seasonal, and to keep the carbon footprint low.
Menu
The menus change on a weekly, even daily, basis, reflecting what is fresh, seasonal and ready to be picked from our kitchen gardens. It features dishes like Slow-roasted belly of Kelmscott pork, Roast haunch of fallow deer, and Beer-battered fish with a homemade tartare sauce.
Drink
The White Hart bar is welcoming, warm and friendly, with a huge inglenook fireplace at its centre and low beamed ceiling. In the summer months, the terrace and gardens also make an ideal spot to enjoy an aperitif before dining or simply a drink in the sun with friends. The wine list is varied and interesting, and they stock a good range of cask-conditioned real ales from independent breweries.

Monday: Closed except for Bank Holidays (12:00 pm to 5:00 pm).
Tuesday to Friday: 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Saturday: 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Sunday: 12:00 pm to 10.30 pm
