Abingdon Drama Club is set to present Things I Know to Be True by Andrew Bovell this March at the Unicorn Theatre.
The acclaimed Australian drama is a moving exploration of family, love and identity, centred on Bob and Fran Price — devoted parents who have worked tirelessly to provide for their four children.
As their children reach adulthood, long-held expectations begin to unravel and uncomfortable truths emerge, forcing each member of the family to confront who they are and what they mean to one another.
Told through the eyes of the four adult siblings, the play examines the tension between independence and parental loyalty. Poetic, humorous and emotionally direct, Bovell’s writing captures the complexity of family life while asking profound questions about love, responsibility and letting go.
The production runs from Wednesday March 25 to Saturday March 28 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £15 (£12 concessions) and are available via abingdon-drama-club.com and from The Bookstore, 15 Bury Street.
