Autoglass, the UK’s leading vehicle glass repair, replacement and recalibration company, has opened a new centre in Oxford.
The modular centre, located within the Oxford United Football Club car park, offers a convenient service for customers in Oxford. It provides windscreen repair and replacements, advanced safety system recalibrations, and replacement wiper blades.
The new opening in Oxford is part of the company’s strategy aimed at meeting the growing needs of vehicles fitted with advanced safety systems. Advanced safety features, such as autonomous emergency braking and lane-departure warnings, are increasingly common and play an important role in alerting drivers to potential hazards on the road. However, as these systems are often reliant on cameras and sensors mounted on the windscreen, they need to be accurately recalibrated following a windscreen replacement, as per vehicle manufacturer instructions, to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Autoglass offers a fully contactless service with social distancing, and all centres across the UK, including the new modular centre in Oxford, are open. Autoglass has also enhanced its cleaning procedures in response to the current coronavirus pandemic. Standard Touchpoint cleaning is undertaken by technicians at all appointments as standard and is designed to protect the customer and technician during the transfer of the vehicle. All vehicle touchpoints that the technician will come into contact with during a repair or replacement are cleaned with a disinfectant both before and after the appointment.
Autoglass has also launched a Full Interior sanitisation service that treats the whole of the vehicle’s interior, including upholstery, carpets and hard-to-reach areas such as air vents. It consists of professional anti-bacterial and anti-viral fogging which involves releasing a fine spray of disinfectant throughout the vehicle, plus vacuuming, and is designed to restore vehicle hygiene† and to help protect the whole family. The disinfectant is designed to kill and protect against 99.99% of viruses and bacteria†.
Taxiarchis Konstantopoulos, Managing Director at Autoglass said: “We hope that this new centre will provide a more convenient service to the people of Oxford and help to get them back on the road as quickly and as safely as possible.
“At Autoglass, safety has always been our number one priority and during the current lockdown, this is more important than ever. In line with the new Government guidelines, we remain open and committed to keeping drivers safe on the roads.
“We have adapted our ways of working to ensure we are able to provide a contactless service, maintain social distancing and provide enhanced levels of sanitisation as we strive to protect the health of both our customers and colleagues.”
†Results for the full interior service may vary depending on surfaces to which applied. See Autoglass website for further information.
