Six months after Practical Completion, Axis J9, a substantial scheme in Bicester Oxfordshire of five prominent industrial and warehousing units, has been fully let to Arrival, an innovator in the Electrical Vehicle (EV) market and Origin, the UK’s leading specialist manufacturer of bespoke aluminium Bi-folding Doors and Windows.

The 200,000 sq ft development was funded by Aver Property Partnership, a joint venture between Ergo Real Estate and NFU Mutual, and developed with Albion Land to deliver high-quality space to meet the needs of the UK’s growing logistics sector.

The high-specification units with ample production and distribution facilities plus grade A office space attracted a high calibre of potential tenants. Axis J9 also has strong sustainability credentials and has been designed to incorporate a carbon zero specification to achieve a BREAAM ‘Very Good’ rating.

Leigh Burnett, Asset Manager at Ergo RE, said: “The successful letting of Axis J9 on long term leases reinforces our strategic decision to invest in the development of Warehouses and Logistics. Furthermore the occupation of the units by a diversity of businesses is encouraging and demonstrates these type of buildings can accommodate a range of uses and showcases the ever evolving industrial sector.”

White Commercial, VSL & Partners, and Colliers International acted for Aver, and the site is managed by Lee Baron.
