Blenheim Estate Homes has announced the launch of Hill Rise, its most energy-efficient housing development to date, marking a major step forward in sustainable living for the Woodstock area.

Created in partnership with build partner Pye Homes, the low-carbon community will eventually deliver up to 180 new homes, with the first phase of 48 properties already under construction.

Designed with wellbeing, sustainability and community at its core, Hill Rise represents a new benchmark for eco-focused housing in Oxfordshire. Every home will include solar provision and an air-source heat pump, along with EV charging to support greener living from day one.

Shared parking barns will provide secure, covered parking while reducing the visual impact of vehicles in the neighbourhood and encouraging walking and cycling.

The thoughtful masterplan places a strong emphasis on landscape and nature, with designs led by award-winning local firm Nicholsons. Community allotments, generous green spaces and carefully planned walking and cycling routes will ensure residents feel connected to the outdoors.

The development will also integrate existing public rights of way, linking Hill Rise directly to Woodstock town centre and Blenheim Park.

In addition to its sustainability credentials, Hill Rise will offer a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, including 50 per cent affordable housing.

The scheme also includes extensive open spaces such as allotments, a play area upgrade and key infrastructure to support the growing community.

Despite construction on phase one beginning only in early 2025, Hill Rise has already received significant recognition, named one of the standout winners at the 2024 Housing Design Awards for its innovative approach and environmental ambition.

Danielle Simpson, Sales Director at Pye Homes, said:

“Hill Rise is a fantastic next step forward for Blenheim Estate Homes and Pye Homes, as it will be the most energy-efficient homes we have created to date, setting new standards for low-carbon housing.

“With landscaping being such a priority, Hill Rise is so much more than a housing development – it’s a great opportunity for buyers to live close to nature and join a wonderful new community.”

Hill Rise is expected to attract strong interest from buyers seeking homes that combine modern comfort with a greener lifestyle. Those interested can register for updates at the Blenheim Estate website.
