Day Fever is the daytime clubbing sensation taking the UK by storm — a joyous celebration where people from all walks of life come together to dance, laugh, and relive the magic of nights out, all before the sun sets.
Created by actress Vicky McClure, filmmaker Jonny Owen, and Jon McClure of Reverend & The Makers, this revolutionary concept proves that life’s too short to save the dancing for after dark.
What began as a one-off event in Sheffield’s City Hall Ballroom in early 2024 has become a nationwide phenomenon, drawing over 85,000 happy dancers to venues across the UK.
Running from 3.00pm to 8.00pm, Day Fever offers the perfect mix of freedom, fun, and fabulous tunes — the “disco that doesn’t ruin your Sunday.” With events selling out in hours in cities such as Nottingham, Sheffield, and Glasgow, the movement continues to grow at a phenomenal pace.

At its heart, Day Fever is all about inclusivity, positivity, and pure good vibes. There’s no dress code, no ego — just great music and the chance to let loose in a safe, welcoming space. Whether guests arrive in glittery heels or comfy trainers, everyone’s invited to join the party.
“Travelling up and down the country and seeing so many people enjoying themselves has been such a joy,” says co-founder Vicky McClure. “We’re thrilled that people feel comfortable at Day Fever. Hearing their stories has shown us how important it is to just take a break from life and have a bloody good dance!”
The party comes to Oxford O2 Academy on 06 December, so get ready to dance the day away. Tickets are available now on Day Fever’s website — but don’t wait too long, they’re selling fast!
