Flight Club Oxford celebrates 10 years with epic birthday bash on 21 October

Flight Club, the home of Social Darts, is turning 10 this month — and the Oxford venue at Westgate is throwing an unforgettable party to mark the occasion.

The celebrations are part of a UK-wide birthday tour that will see the Flight Club team hosting events in every city they call home, all while raising funds for good causes. The tour’s standout feature is a thirty-year-old fire engine affectionately known as Martha, which has a very special place in the brand’s history.

The fun arrives in Oxford on Monday, 21 October from 6.00pm, and everyone’s invited. Guests can simply drop into Flight Club Oxford at Westgate – no booking required – to enjoy live DJs, surprise giveaways, and epic prizes, including a £1,000 bar tab.

For those looking to go all out, Flight Club is also offering a VIP party experience for £50 per person. The package includes welcome drinks, unlimited pizza, and three hours of Social Darts, guided by Flight Club’s charismatic gamesmasters.

Every event on the tour supports the Flight Club Foundation, which this year is backing 21 national and local charities. In Oxford, the celebration will raise funds for Yellow Submarine, a local charity dedicated to supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism.

The fire engine at the heart of this tour isn’t just a gimmick—it’s the origin story of Flight Club itself. In 2010, co-founders Steve and Paul, along with CFO Ross and a group of friends, drove a fire engine around the world in memory of Steve’s father, a firefighter for 33 years.

Their global journey raised £120,000 for charity, earned a Guinness World Record, and sparked the inspiration for a business dedicated to bringing people together for unforgettable, joy-filled moments.

Five years later, the first Flight Club opened in Shoreditch. A decade on, there are now 28 venues worldwide, all sharing the same mission: to deliver “moments of unexpected, ridiculous joy.”

Now, fifteen years after that original adventure, Martha the fire engine is coming out of retirement to join the team once more — this time, for the ultimate birthday celebration.
