Robert Plant, The Corrs, Alison Moyet and Kaiser Chiefs are among the first artists announced for the 2027 Hampton Court Palace Festival, which will return to the historic royal residence in Surrey from 15 to 27 June.

Now in its 32nd year, the annual concert series brings established international performers to Base Court, the palace’s Tudor courtyard, creating an intimate setting for live music against the backdrop of one of Britain’s most recognisable historic buildings.

Four performances have been confirmed in the first announcement, with further artists expected to join the programme.

Robert Plant will perform with Saving Grace and vocalist Suzi Dian on Saturday 19 June. The group, formed in 2019, brings together a collection of musicians united by an interest in roots music, drawing on blues, folk, gospel and country influences.

The announcement follows the release of Saving Grace: All That Glitters…, the group’s latest album, and a series of performances in the United States. The line-up includes drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, multi-instrumentalist Matt Worley and cellist Barney Morse-Brown, alongside Plant and Dian. Plant was also recently recognised with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Americana Music Association Awards.

Alison Moyet is scheduled to perform on Tuesday 22 June. Her career has taken her from the punk scene to international success as one half of synth-pop duo Yazoo, before establishing herself as a solo artist with the release of her debut album Alf, which reached number one in the UK charts.

She has since released ten studio albums and received three BRIT Awards, alongside recognition from the Ivors Academy and a Grammy nomination. In 2024, she marked 40 years as a solo artist with the release of Key, a top-ten album. Her Hampton Court performance will draw on a recording career spanning 45 years, with a selection of singles, familiar favourites and less frequently performed tracks.

The Corrs will perform on Wednesday 23 June, in what the festival describes as the band’s only London show of summer 2027.

The Irish sibling quartet, comprising Andrea, Sharon, Caroline and Jim Corr, have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide during a career spanning over three decades. Their distinctive blend of pop rock, close harmonies and Celtic folk influences has produced international hits including Breathless, Runaway and What Can I Do. Their performance will feature music from across their extensive back catalogue.

Kaiser Chiefs complete the first wave of announcements, with a performance on Saturday 26 June. Formed in Leeds in 2000, the band became one of the defining British indie rock acts of the following decade, achieving widespread success with their Mercury Prize-nominated debut album Employment.

Led by frontman Ricky Wilson, the group have released eight studio albums and sold more than eight million albums worldwide. Their accolades include three BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello Award. Audiences can expect songs from across their catalogue, including Ruby, I Predict A Riot, Oh My God and Everyday I Love You Less and Less.

Beyond the performances themselves, the festival has developed a wider experience around its historic setting. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and spend time in the East Front Gardens, where food stalls and pre-concert picnics have become part of the event’s established format.

A range of optional hospitality packages will also be available, including the King’s VIP Dining Experience in the State Apartments, access to the Queen’s Garden enclosure, a private fountain-side pergola, and prepared garden picnics and sharing platters.

The festival is produced in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces, the independent charity responsible for looking after Hampton Court Palace and five other historic royal residences. The palace is surrounded by formal gardens and royal parkland, providing a setting that distinguishes the concert series from conventional outdoor music festivals.

Hampton Court is accessible by rail, with the railway station a short walk from the palace. Bus services from Richmond and Kingston, as well as seasonal riverboat services, provide additional options for visitors.
