Oxford’s Broad Street will be transformed into a Victorian-inspired Christmas market next month, with around 50 stalls bringing festive shopping and seasonal entertainment to the city centre.
The Oxford Victorian Christmas Market will run from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 November, offering a selection of artisan products, handcrafted gifts and seasonal food. Traders will be dressed in Victorian-style clothing, while entertainment will include a stilt walker and DJ.
The market will bring together independent traders and food producers, giving visitors an opportunity to browse for Christmas gifts and seasonal treats in one of Oxford’s best-known city-centre locations.
Organised by events company LSD Promotions, the four-day event will be free to enter. The company, which describes itself as a family-run business, has more than 30 years’ experience organising markets, food festivals and community events across the UK.
Connie Brettell, Marketing Assistant at LSD Promotions, said the organisers were looking forward to bringing the market back to Oxford and creating a festive setting for independent traders, visitors and the local community.
The market will open from 10.00am to 7.00pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10.00am to 5.00pm on Sunday.
