Mollie’s, the value-luxe hotel and diner brand, has reached a significant milestone after both its Oxfordshire and Bristol locations were officially awarded four-star status by VisitEngland.

The VisitEngland star rating is a trusted benchmark for UK travellers, offering a clear and reliable indication of hotel quality. Four-star classification is awarded to properties achieving scores between 70 and 84 per cent.

Mollie’s Oxford achieved a score of 79 per cent, while Mollie’s Bristol scored 80 per cent, reflecting consistently high standards across facilities, service and overall guest experience.

The recognition further strengthens Mollie’s growing reputation as a distinctive hospitality brand delivering design-led stays at accessible price points.

Drawing inspiration from classic American roadside motels and drive-in diners, Mollie’s combines nostalgic elements such as red neon signage and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with modern conveniences. These include digital check-in, a bespoke Mollie’s app and stylish, high-quality rooms designed with comfort at their core.

The VisitEngland assessment highlighted the strength and consistency of the Mollie’s offering, with particular emphasis on bedroom comfort and attention to detail. Beds and bedding were identified as standout features, reflecting the brand’s focus on sleep as a central part of the guest experience.

Rooms feature contemporary interiors alongside carefully selected furnishings, including pieces from Conran and luxury mattresses from Hypnos.

Bathrooms and in-room amenities also received positive feedback, with assessors noting strong shower quality and water pressure, as well as fast and reliable WiFi throughout both hotels. High standards of housekeeping were recognised, alongside the friendliness and professionalism of Mollie’s teams.

Service across reception and the diner was described as consistently welcoming, with premium touches such as Dyson hairdryers and Cowshed bathroom products enhancing the overall stay.

Commenting on the achievement, Mike Hogan, Head of Operations, said:
“Achieving four-star status from VisitEngland for both Oxford and Bristol is a brilliant endorsement of the Mollie’s experience. It reflects the care our teams put into every stay and reinforces our belief that great design, comfort and service should be accessible, without the traditional luxury price tag.”

Building on the success of its current locations, Mollie’s continues to expand its UK presence. The brand is set to open its first city-centre hotel in Manchester in February 2026, with an Edinburgh site also currently in the development pipeline.

Mollie’s Motel & Diner has a bold vision to transform travel through its value-luxe, design-led approach, built on the belief that affordability need not compromise style, comfort or quality.
