Oxford Computer Consultants (OCC) has been acquired by Healthcare IT specialist System C.
The Oxford-based IT business specialises in integrated contracts and finance solutions for social care within local government, as well as designing and developing customised software for a wide range of public and private sector organisations.
The company, which started with 2 people in 1989 to over 100 today, also provides IT consultancy services to industry, including the engineering, business services and research sectors.
Before the acquisition, OCC had worked in partnership with System C for over 20 years, providing technologies to support System C’s Liquidlogic platform, one of the UK’s leading IT solutions for the NHS, local authority social care, and education management services.
With a shared customer base of over 100 local authorities, the acquisition by System C will enable it to fully integrate OCC’s expertise and product solutions to create a cohesive product roadmap for its customers, including local authorities and social care organisations.
Nick Warner, Managing Director of Oxford Computer Consultants, said: OCC has worked with System C for almost twenty years, so coming together as one business feels like a natural progression.
“We’re excited about the benefits for our customers and employees. As far as our staff go, there will be even greater potential for career development and learning and a valuable transfer of expertise between teams.
System C Chief Executive, Nick Wilson, commented: We’re delighted to welcome OCC to the family. I’m confident that our shared values and complementary capabilities will help us better address the needs of our customers, including the local authorities that we already partner with. I’m looking forward to exploring new opportunities together.
