The Persimmon Charitable Foundation has opened its latest funding round, offering three £50,000 grants to charities supporting youth employability projects across the UK.

The Foundation is the charitable arm of housebuilder Persimmon Homes, the developer behind residential schemes including Valley Park in Didcot, Wellington Gate in Wantage and Wykham Park in Banbury.

The Foundation provides funding to charities and community organisations, with a strong focus on tackling disadvantage and improving opportunities for people in areas where Persimmon builds homes across the UK.

From Monday 01 June, applications opened for the latest round of funding, with a total of £150,000 available for UK-based projects supporting employability, young people aged 14 to 25, and communities affected by economic and social deprivation.

The Foundation prioritises initiatives that support social mobility, skills development and pathways into work, particularly for young people not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Since 2021, the Foundation has donated more than £3 million to good causes, supporting a wide range of organisations delivering youth development and community-focused programmes.

Recent recipients from the first funding round of 2026 include Hamara Healthy Living Centre in Leeds, Newcastle United Foundation, and The Benjamin Foundation in Norfolk, each awarded £50,000.

Previous beneficiaries have included Bristol City FC Robins Foundation and Young Somerset.

Anthony Vigor, Chair of the Foundation, said the programme is designed to improve outcomes for young people facing disadvantage.

“We want to improve outcomes for young people, and particularly those not in education, training or employment. If your charity is focused on supporting employability, we encourage you to apply,” he said.

The Foundation launched its open application programme in 2025 to widen access to funding and enable more charities to apply directly, alongside its established community support model.

Applications for the current round close at 11.59pm on Sunday 21 June, with successful applicants due to be announced in September.
