Registration is now open for Bike Oxford 2022, and local businesses are being encouraged to use the sponsorship opportunities available as a ‘pedal-powered’ vehicle for good.
Bike Oxford 2022 is one of the largest single-day city sportives in the South of England, hosted by Oxford University Rugby Football Club.
Now in its 9th year, the event aims to attract close to 1,000 riders and comprises marked rides of 25, 50 and 80 miles, including a 2-mile stretch around historic Oxford.
The 2022 event will be supporting several worthy causes, including Helen and Douglas House, Wheels for All and Active Oxfordshire.
The rides – supported by Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council – are designed to appeal to all ages and abilities. Local businesses, and other organisations from Oxfordshire, are encouraged to get involved.
All routes are fully signed and supported by medics and mechanics. In planning the route, the aim is to cater for everyone, from families and new cyclists on the short course to something more challenging for regular cyclists on the longer distances.
The event provides an excellent opportunity for team building, networking, client entertaining, general engagement of staff and clients, business development and corporate social responsibility, all whilst enjoying a great day out on the bike.
The event is once again supported by the Cowley Road Condors Cycling Club. Cheryl of Cowley Road Condors said, “We are delighted to support Bike Oxford again this year.
“This event is a fantastic way to discover the joy of cycling while at the same time supporting a really important local cause, Helen & Douglas House. We really enjoy seeing riders at the finish with big smiles on their faces and look forward to seeing lots of people there on the day!”
