Property and construction consultancy Ridge and Partners LLP (Ridge) has donated £25,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK to support its accommodation for families of children in hospital.
Ridge – with its headquarters on the grounds of Blenheim Palace – made the donation as part of its 75th-anniversary celebrations, which it has been marking throughout 2021 with a series of charitable and community initiatives.
Throughout 2021, Ridge employees have taken part in charitable initiatives to raise money and support their local communities. Across Ridge’s 13 offices, its team has raised more than £85,000 for good causes, match-funded by Ridge.
From skydiving to sponsored bike rides, colleagues across Ridge have supported more than 25 charities locally and nationally. The business has also supported volunteer-led initiatives such as tree planting and COVID-19 vaccination centres.

Adrian O’Hickey, Senior Partner at Ridge, said: “We are proud to have worked closely with Ronald McDonald House Charities UK in both a fundraising and professional capacity.
“Its accommodation is a lifeline for families who have children in hospital, allowing them to be close to their loved ones during difficult times. It was a privilege to work on the build of its Oxford House, and we are pleased to be continuing this legacy together.
“This year, colleagues from across Ridge have pulled out all the stops to celebrate our milestone anniversary while making a real difference in their local communities.
“We started the year in lockdown, with online cookery classes and charitable quizzes, and we are now ending the year with a donation to an incredible cause that is close to our hearts.”
Caroline Sinclair, Corporate Fundraiser at Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, said: “We cannot thank Ridge enough for this generous donation, especially as the last couple of years have been incredibly hard for the whole charity sector.
“However, thanks to wonderful support, just like this, we have been able to continue to deliver our service to those that need it most.
“Ronald McDonald House Charities UK relies on community donations, fundraising, and support from businesses, and this will really help us to make a difference to families with a child in hospital – in these COVID times, it is even more crucial for babies and children to have their family close by.”
Ronald McDonald House Charities UK has 12 Houses across the UK situated in or near hospital grounds to enable seriously ill children to have their families close by when they are undergoing treatment.
