Vox Medicalis Doctors Choir to perform at Oxford University Church this October

This October, Oxford will host a unique cultural event as the celebrated Vox Medicalis Doctors Choir performs at the University Church of St Mary the Virgin.

The concert will take place on Saturday, 11 October 2025, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, offering audiences an unforgettable evening of music while supporting a vital cause.

Organised by the UK charity Hospices of Hope, the performance will bring to Oxford a Bucharest-based choir of doctors and healthcare professionals who have already given around 300 concerts across Romania and internationally.

Known for their breathtaking harmonies and compelling presence, Vox Medicalis promises to deliver a rare and moving experience.

Tickets are priced at just £10.00 per person (free for under-16s), making this evening both accessible and exceptional value. The ticket price includes the concert itself, along with light bites and an interval.

With demand expected to be high, organisers urge early booking. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for those interested.

Hospices of Hope, based in Otford, Kent, is dedicated to improving hospice and end-of-life care in South and East Europe. The charity supports country partners in Romania, Moldova, Serbia, Albania, Greece and Ukraine, helping them to develop medical services and palliative care for people living with terminal illnesses.

Over the past 33 years, the charity has facilitated care for more than 100,000 children and adults and delivered 30,000 training sessions in palliative care for healthcare professionals across 19 countries. Despite these achievements, more than 85% of people with terminal illness in South and East Europe remain without proper care.

The concert is not only an opportunity to enjoy world-class music in one of Oxford’s most beautiful historic venues but also to support an organisation working tirelessly to extend dignity, compassion and medical expertise to those most in need.
