Waterperry Opera Festival opens 2025 booking

Waterperry Opera Festival has announced that general booking for the 2025 season will open at 9.00am on 08 April. Audiences are encouraged to secure tickets early for a chance to experience high-calibre opera performances set in the scenic outdoor grounds of Waterperry House and Gardens.

This year’s programme is set to feature a diverse line-up, including Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Handel’s Semele, and the family-friendly Winnie-the-Pooh’s Songbook. In addition to ticketed performances, the festival will host several free events, such as the Hundred Acre Wood Craft Workshops and the annual Come and Sing community event.

In a new addition for the 2025 season, the festival has unveiled the Lawn Restaurant, offering guests an elevated dining experience. This sit-down venue will serve a three-course dinner, with sample menus now available on the official website.

Diners may choose between vegan, vegetarian, or meat-based main courses, with water and tea or coffee included. An option to pre-order from a curated wine and drinks list will be available closer to the event dates. Booking is essential, as the Lawn Restaurant will not accommodate walk-ins on performance nights.

Returning this summer is the Picnic Pavilion, a popular option for those seeking a relaxed and charming setting close to the performance area on the Front Lawn. Seats at tables are available for £15 per person, with each table accommodating up to six guests (minimum booking of two seats required).

Guests will also benefit from dedicated parking and private entry, assisted by a steward for a smooth arrival.

Picnic hampers available in vegan, vegetarian, or meat-based options will be packaged in eco-friendly, sustainable materials. Hampers are designed to be easily transported to the garden picnic areas and can be left behind for recycling or composting at designated collection points.
