Oxford City Council is asking for your views on proposals to build 79 new homes of land West of Mill Lane in Marston in Oxford.

Oxford City Council is proposing to build 79 new homes on land West of Mill Lane in Marston, with 40 being provided as council homes (32 homes) and other affordable tenures. The remaining 39 homes will be offered for private sale.

The homes intend to deliver a 70% carbon emission reduction from current building regulations. The development will also include a new public open space, pedestrian and cycle connections to nearby areas and a locally-sensitive design approach.

According to the council, Oxford needs homes. Our city is the least affordable in the country and there are currently 2,355 families on our waiting list for council housing. The council is now inviting views on the development of land and comments must reach them before 12 November 2020.

The council will be holding an online Question and Answer sessions via Zoom on 03 November.
