Award-winning KIBOU Japanese Kitchen & Bar in Oxford has launched a new Japanese-inspired afternoon tea.
Beautifully presented, KIBOU’s afternoon tea arrives on an eye-catching 3-tiered stand and includes tasters of many of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, including a range of sushi, sashimi and traditional Japanese sweets. There is also a vegetarian afternoon tea menu available.
Enjoy dishes such as tempura prawn California roll, salmon tataki with mango salsa and sea bream nigiri, followed by decadent shichimi chocolate tart, cinnamon & apple gyoza and traditional custard dorayaki with strawberry compôte.
Priced at £19.00 per person for the vegetarian version and £23.00 per person for the classic, this elegant afternoon tea is served as standard with a choice of Japanese teas and infusions – such as delicately fragrant jasmine or the sweet and nutty notes of genmaicha – green tea with toasted brown rice.

Or guests can choose from a selection of accompanying drinks packages, including a glass of Taittinger Brut Réserve Champagne, signature KIBOU cocktail or Junmai Tokubetsu sake, known for its creamy character with notes of pear and banana.
Alongside this, KIBOU will also offer a matcha tea option, which includes a bowl of steaming matcha tea hand-whisked at your table.
A stylish way to spend the afternoon and a great gift idea, KIBOU’s afternoon tea must be pre-booked and is available Sunday to Friday from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
Founded in August 2019 by established hospitality leader David Franks, KIBOU comprises of six Japanese restaurants and bars in Battersea, Cheltenham, Bristol, Solihull, Cambridge, and Oxford.
