Namaste Village Oxford, the award-winning vegetarian and vegan Indian restaurant group, is inviting diners to celebrate Diwali with a five-day festival of food and tradition. Running from 16 to 20 October, the restaurant will bring the vibrant flavours and heartfelt customs of India’s Festival of Lights to Oxford.

At the centre of the celebrations is the Diwali Celebration Thali (£22.95 per person). The feast begins with baby pappadoms and Punjabi samosas before presenting three richly spiced curries: Panchkutiyu Shaak, a treasured Gujarati dish prepared especially for Diwali; Kaju Paneer Masala, a creamy and indulgent mild curry; and Tadka Daal, a comforting lentil classic.

The thali is served with butter naan, pilau rice, boondi raita, Indian pickle and fried green chillies. Dessert is the beloved Gulab Jamun, with a vegan alternative also available.

Guests can enjoy a 10% discount on the festive thali throughout the week by using the booking code DIWALI10. On 19 to 20 October, Namaste Village will also offer a special Diwali Set Menu, priced at £22.95 per person, available exclusively through the website.

Each Namaste Village restaurant will be adorned with festive lights and decorations to create the perfect setting for family and friends to come together. The Oxford branch was recently recognised in the Tripadvisor awards as one of the UK’s best casual dining establishments, making it an ideal venue for this year’s Diwali celebrations.

Namaste Village Oxford is open Tuesday to Thursday from 12.00pm to 9.00pm, and Friday to Sunday from 12.00pm to 10.00pm. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
